In Block 2, there are four units. In unit 6, some of the physical methods which are useful in determining the structure of molecules are described. In units 7 and 8, some applications of microwave, infrared, ultraviolet and visible spectra with respect to the determination of bond length, moment of inertia and force constant of some molecules are explained. In unit 9, there is a discussion on some aspects of nuclear chemistry. Block 1: Structure of Matter-I: Block 2: Structure of Matter-II: Assessment is by one assignment (30%) and a final examination (70%).
